Cosplay FAQ
Favorite costume thus far:I like all of my costumes for different reasons but I think I'll have to go with Fighter. I have made many simple costumes but Fighter is probably my best-made costume to date. After cosplaying 15 year old boys, its nice to be able to wear a detailed, girly costume to help make me feel pretty!

Least favorite costume: Sumomo. It was really fun at the time but now I'm so embarassed of this costume!

Most worn costume: Definitely Orihime! I believe I've worn Orihime to every con I've been to since Ohayocon 07. Her outfit is so comfortable and recognizable and there are always other Bleach cosplayers running around so there's really no downside.

Awards won: Best in Show for "The Game of Life" at Anime Central 08, Best Veteran Skit for Ninja of the Night's skit, "Super Elric Bros" @ Sakuracon 07, and Honorable Mention Craftsmanship for Female Fighter @ Youmacon 07!

Dream costume: Sakura from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles @_@

Most difficult costume: Probably Chibimoon. I was still pretty new to sewing and I had high expectations for the costume so I ended up beating myself up quite a bit. In the end, I believe I remade every part of the costume 3 times. I'm still not 100% happy with it!

Best Con Experiences: This one is REALLY tough! I've had so many great experiences but some moments that stand out in my mind are winning Best In Show at Anime Central and performing with Ninja of the Night at Sakuracon. I also have so many great memories of late-night hotel antics including reciting "The Mysterious Ticking Noise," making shadow puppets, and laughing until I cried watching the Anime Hunters' videos. As lame as it sounds, I also take a lot of joy in meeting some of the cosplayers and photographers whom I've admired for years - its always a bit of a surreal experience. So many good memories!

Favorite Convention: Sakuracon 2007. ♥ It was my first time and everything was absolutely PERFECT! The people were incredible and the convention center itself was gorgeous. I got to meet a lot of new people and did a lot of convention-related things I don't usually do (IE: go to panels, go to the rave) and it was just a really refreshing experience!

Least Favorite Convention: Sakuracon 2008. XD Weird considering 2007 was my favorite con ever, right? Unfortunately there was a lot of stress during this convention and it really ruined the experience.

How long does it take you to make your costumes? Usually not more than two weeks. I often plan costumes much longer than I actually work on them! I am known for putting off working on my costumes until the last minute and have constructed several of my costumes several days before the convention. I spent the most time on Chibimoon and it took me about 3 weeks to complete.
