As I mentioned before, I knew I would cosplay Orihime from the minute I saw her. I always feel a little silly comparing myself to anime characters but I found myeslf relating to Orihime in a LOT of ways, for better or worse. After doing her Soul Society version, I decided to whip up her school uniform a couple of days before Acen.

This costume was mostly store bought. I picked up the shirt from a thrift store and found a floor-length, pleated skirt to alter. I made the short significantly shorter and took it in to fit my waist - in hindsight, it would have been easier to simply make my own skirt but I just didn't have access to a fabric store at the time. XD I already had the socks and the shoes and made the bow and the tag on the shirt out of a red t-shirt. The gold piece on the bow was made from model magic and detail was added using a paperclip. (I am so cheap its insane.)

Although it was a very easy, last-minute costume, it received much more attention than my Soul Society version and I was happily surprised. Right now the wig needs to be replaced but I defnitely have plans to wear this again in the future.
